Sundays Kitchen Shower was a huge success. Byron received a special award for all his hard work on the new kitchen along with others. Lots of great presents were opened. Everyone is looking forward to great meals in a great new kitchen.

Ugandan ORPHANS CHOIR The Ugandan Orphans Choir is part of Childcare Worldwide based in Bellingham. Childcare Worldwide also has an orphanage in Haiti. No one at their orphanage was injured in the earthquake. The Orphans Choir will be coming back to our area in early Fall. Please check our heading for Haiti and other outreach.

Haiti Slideshow and Speaker

Emily Bartelheimer from Lamb of God Lutheran in Snohomish gave a slideshow and speech on a Haiti Orphanage in February. Almost 100 people came out to listen to her. Everyone showed strong support for Rev Pauls work. Please check out the Haiti tab for alot more information.

Hygiene Items Needed for Disaster Relief

Please check out the womens page for a list of items needed. Next week dark wash cloths and hand towels are being collected. These items go to disaster areas, which might include Haiti.

Daylight saving time starts sunday, March 14th.
March 20 will be spring cleaning inside and out.
MOPS had a kids clothing exchange which was a big hit. A story was in the paper so many in the community came.
2010 budget was approved at the Voters Meeting
Quilting Club starts at noon. 1st & 3rd Wednesdays
A special offering for Haiti raised over $2000
Bill, Pastor and Mikkel are working with the Kairos prison ministry.
Vacation Bible School is being planned for the end of June.
An Easter Egg Hunt will be held in April 3rd. In addition there will be an ice cream truck to hand out free snowcones/popsicles in exchange for an item for the food bank at our church.
April 4th (Easter) we will have a pancake breakfast which will take place during both services.
Start saving your items for Grace's Annual Garage Sale the first week `in June.
Plans are being made to attend a Mariner/Yankees game in July. Reserve a spot now.
Pat is in need of cereal for the food bank.
Everyone is invited to participate and encouraged to volunteer.

We hope everyone will come. Enjoy the food and the fellowship. Grace Lutheran has the best cooks. Dinner is at 5:45pm followed by service at 7 pm.

Seder Meal - April 2nd

"Do this in remembrance of me" (Luke 22:19, 1 Cor 11:24)

A Seder Meal is scheduled for Maudy Thursday at 6 pm. This service is called "The Seder" and means "order". The intent of the ceremony is, and always has been, to obey the precept "tell your sons and daughters."

This is the meal that Jesus ate with his disciples the night that he was betrayed. There were certain foods and herbs full of meaning. Through the Passover meal, Jesus passed on the importance of remembering the faithfulness of God through the generations. Grace Lutheran's Seder meal will follow the traditional service, ceremony, and traditions. Everyone who has been confirmed in the Church is invited to attend.
